Postbridge is an absolutely idyllic spot where you can relax next to the River Dart and absorb the tranquil atmosphere that Dartmoor has to offer. Over the river you’ll see one of the finest examples of clapper bridge you’re ever likely to see. The bridge is a Grade II listed structure which was created from granite and is believed to have been built in the 13th Century so pack horses carrying tin from Tavistock could cross safely. Although there aren’t any tourist shops here you will find a shop for basic needs, an inn and a tourist information centre.
